Prosser Record-Bulletin
December 2, 1992

These trees at the home of Virginia Schmerber on Spokane Avenue were restructure pruned by Artistic Treeworks, a service owned by arborist Howard Madsen. Madsen said that the trees had been severely mispruned before, leaving a warped tree shape, diseased branches, and small sucker branches sprouting off large, rough stumps. The trees should look almost normal in about two years, according to Madsen. Madsen is a professional arborist, who said, "I care about what happens to the trees later, not just when the money comes in." Madsen commended the City of Prosser for the city tree pruning code and for being a "tree conscious town."
