An Oak Grows in Richland's Oak Park


For years, Oak Park had no oak trees. That changed Wednesday. Members of the Mid-Columbia Community Forestry Council planted two trees to celebrate Washington State Arbor Day at the Richland park, named because it sits along Oak Street. From left to right, Howard Madsen, Terry Deines and Gerardo Mendoza fit a northern red oak into the ground.
